(1973). The author met Michael in 1965 while
living in Venice, California. They soon became
as close as brothers and went on to share many
adventures while attempting to live their ideals.

The last photograph taken of the author's mother (1993). She passed away six months later.

Emily's ashes are in the vase under the statue of Buddha. This memorial overlooks the backyard perennial flower garden that Emily planted the last year of her life (1997). She chose this vase and location for her ashes.
